Walmart Credit card - Free fico score?

I've been looking for a cheap way to get my fico scores daily and everything i've seen thus far has been either a 3-6 month wait or 15.00+ monthly fee...so I come across a friend who says he signed up for a walmart credit card and hes able to get a free fico score monthly that way.

Does anyone know about walmart credit card fico scores and where it comes from? I've tried credit sesame and credit karma, but they both use their own way of calculating your credit score, not exactly through the credit bureau.

While I'm not positive, I'm 90% sure it's a FAKO score. I used DiscoverCard's tracker and they did the same thing-- but you had to pay for it ($8 a month, can you believe that?). So instead of paying $106/yr for a "fake" score, I just use Credit Karma... it's not like either are real, but hey, at least I get an estimate for free.

I would check into it, but like I said, it's probably FAKO.

Here's what I found: http://www.walmart.com/cp/Credit-Cards/632402 "Receive your free monthly FICO® Score when you enroll in electronic statements online". Seems like a good option-- would only cost you a hard inquiry (though you have to weigh 1 hard inquiry = ~$500 when you're looking at credit card sign up bonuses). Does $500 outweigh the free report each month?
