I ordered once from Pro flowers and yes it does arrive in a box - Typically by fed-ex.
What is my plan for this year? Day of Vday, I plan on picking up from florist (yes I know it may be a mad house and pickings may be slim) hand delivering to my sweethearts place of biz. (Hopefully she will be able to join me for a nice lunch (as opposed to the microwave or sandwich she typically has)
According to customer service, Standard delivery (9AM-5PM) is $12.99 + if you want it to be valentine day + $9.99, and if time specific service (9-Noon, etc) +$13.99 on top of all that.....
Discover do have 20% but I am not sure if it will stack with the 15 of 30
Anyway, I guess they made it all back with the shipping/handling charges.
Basically $64.98 (flowers) - $15 (living social) +12.99 (delivery)+ 9.99 (valentine)= $72.96+ tax
Placed an order, Total from Proflower is $65.15+ $15 from living social = $80.15 delivering to a home with a upgraded vase (2$ vase discount is not applied either, replaced by the living social deal) The 20% proflower discount was NOT applied as well. So yeah, $80 delivered
Heart melter <3
Very sweet indeed!

Nothing worse than having your significant other have to assemble the flowers. When I found out they were in a box, my heart sank. I would have gladly paid the extra $20-$30 for an arrangement in a vase. You can't put a price on that!
"Nothing worse"? No such problem here. My wife actually prefers to arrange the flowers herself.
As people mentioned, the 20% does not appear to stack with the LS deal but the total does come out to $50 before shipping and taxes (which is a huge chunk of change as others mentioned). This price didn't come up for me when I went through their homepage or through FW's link but came up when I went in through retailmenot, I was then able to find it in recently viewed after opening the page with FW to get the 14% cashback (like $7.50 as it didn't include the shipping) [edit: according to other posters, EB has 16% and Discover has 20%].
I spent about two hours looking at the $100 price-range and this was nicer than alternatives.
Everything arrived and looks amazing- she sent me pictures. Well Packed, flowers are fresh and ready to bloom. Great deal- glad I ordered from proflowers. Will be ordering from them again in the future
CSR refunded shipping when it didnt arrive on the 13th. Full refund when it hadnt arrived by 5:00 on the 14th. As luck would have it finally arrived at 5:38 after I had gone to the store to buy a replacement.
The quality was decent, attached both bouquets. If I ever use them again, Im going to order a day or two in advance to allow the roses a chance to open up.
Packaging was excellent, I've heard a lot of people misunderstand this company's practices of working with GROWERS and FTD's policy of working with FLORISTS.
The former being wholesale, using sturdy boxes for shipping and that latter about presentation and hand delivered bouquet.
YMMV: The 20% can be taken off. Call the CSR I had my order adjusted(before the refund) and both 20% Off + the Living Social Deal applied.
