I didn't realize your the first SD'r that has morals when shopping. It must of been someone else who set the Deal alert for Price mistake, Not you OBVIOUSLY! You have morals and don't rip off people. 4400 comments, on this "small busieness" Since were going off make believe fairy tales in your world, I can only OBVIOUSLY Assume that maybe 1/10th of the people comment on what they buy from them. Seems pretty small busieness to me, 40,000 customers is pretty teeny. Anything else you want to talk about, Maybe more pills or by-products, I assume you know more about that then what it on topic here. Last edited by Wyndhamscams; 02-09-2013 at 01:56 PM.. WE ARE THE 89%!! (that is, the 89% that live outside of CA and don't care if "CA tax kills the deal") |

In this case...this is the only seller, selling the product. People can try if they want.....but the chances are extremely low at getting the product ordered...even by PM standards. |

If they are making $10 profit per customer, then you are looking at $400,000 per year, assuming your 40,000 customers produce that level of sales every year. That could very well mean a family business, with each owner making let's say $100,000 - depending on where they live, this is either comfortable or can only be a marginal living - plus 8 or so employees at $20,000 a year plus benefits (social security, unemployment insurance, etc. and my estimate is probably low) so a total of ten employees. I believe the federal government also considers that a "small business". Now "making good" on a price mistake publicized via a deal site could easily wipe out the jobs of half their employees. the money has to come from somewhere. There are people with morals who shop SD, and they don't typically jump through a whole bunch of justifications for their behavior. BTW - I came upon this when I saw Gummi Bears as my child has made a request since they normally are very good about low sugar snacks, and this is a once a month reward. I don't have a "price mistake" deal alert, and won't be trying to play "gotcha" with what is more than likely a small business. There are people who attempt to live the golden rule - you can get "slick deals" and still deal ethically, it's just when the word "steals" comes into play, i.e. that's a "steal" that one would hope a people would have their moral compass come into play. Very few people who play the "You made a price mistake, it's your problem" want that done to them when they make a mistake. Social Darwinism is harsh, and few people are as "fit" as they believe themselves to be. Klaatu: I'm impatient with stupidity. My people have learned to live without it.

OK i can I think $1-$10 profit base is well untrue in this business as its probably bases off a % mark up not a solid number markup They sell items in the $2 range to 1k range. Im sure there based off more a % and making a bit more profit then 400k a year. The rest is pretty much agreed upon how the typical business standards workYes small business would crumble apart honoring price mistakes more then so a big corporate business like Target or Walmart might honor it just to keep there customer base happy and hope to keep loyalty and make there money back in the future.. I dont see this price mistake being a "Honey we have to sell our house" type of deal but it would hurt there pockets way more honoring it then helping them out years to come. As this type of forum doesn't have such a high loyalty base when you compare the prices. Last edited by Wyndhamscams; 02-09-2013 at 02:35 PM.. |

Cancelled. I'll be leaving negative feedback as well. It's one thing to not fulfill a price mistake (that's entirely reasonable and never should be the cause for upset feelings / retaliatory feedback), but it's always agrivating when they choose to use the reason "customer cancelled" instead of just owning up to their error.
