I bought this a couple weeks ago on amazon for 32$. The game is fantastic, especially when Xbox doesn't have a Mario kart game. Well worth a buy

I got this for PC a couple weeks ago and have put a lot of hours into it already. I am very happy with my purchase, since I have been wanting a Mario Kart clone of sorts for PC. Not only does this game satisfy that genre requirement, but it actually makes some improvements over the Mario Kart formula.

Unlike Mario Kart, this game does not seem to use rubber band AI. What this means is that if you suck at racing, you won't be able to beat the more difficult players (humans or bots) due to lucky pickups. The pickup system seems to be more randomized than Mario Kart. You will find yourself picking up the same mix of weaponry when you are at the front of the pack than you would at the back. With Mario Kart I often find myself stuck with defensive weapons when I take the lead, preventing me from getting further ahead of the pack.

This is a much more challenging game when compared to the Mario Kart series. You will find yourself struggling to beat many of the levels and it will take practice to hone your skills in drifting, jumping, and start boosts to win all races. Not only that, but you will also need to master all 3 vehicle types: car, boat, and aircraft. I for one enjoy the challenge. It makes earning the "stickers" badges of honor.

Concerning the PC version (which isn't included in this Groupon deal), I have had some issues with game performance whenever operating on a boat section. I am guessing that the water effects are overwhelming my system (playing on a HTPC without a dedicated graphics card). Be advised that you should probably have a graphics card if you want to run this game smoothly.

Overall this game is totally worth $30 if you are looking for a cart racing type game to add to your library.

Really good game. Too bad sega has been a terrible company lately.

I was surprised after playing this game how innovative and entertaining it was for an otherwise tired out genre. Play this together w/ my 5 yr old for hours. Family time for $28 is a deal for me.
