FM Transmitter for Ipod Touch 5
Hey - I'm looking for a FM Transmitter that will work well with the Ipod Touch 5. I'm hoping to find one under $20 (the cheaper the better but I want it to also work well). Any good recommendations?

Why spend all that money on a great smartphone, and then bottleneck it with a crappy FM transmitter? What car would you like this for? Your best bet is to retrofit the ipod-capable version of your factory stereo in a newer model car. In an older model car, you can buy an aftermarket radio that not only gives ipod control, but also gives other features like Bluetooth calling, HD radio, a stronger internal amplifier, more radio presets, more tuning options, etc.

http://www.crutchfield It also gives RCA inputs, so you can add an AUX line for other smartphones or music players. Otherwise, there's a chance that your radio has an AUX in on the back, in which you'd only have to run a cable from the back of the radio to the glove compartment or center console. Any monkey at Best Buy can do that for you. But seriously, a Bluetooth-capable stereo can be had for $150-$200 today, and again, I can't imagine a parent that wouldn't want to keep the phone out of a teenager's hands while driving. |
