staples managers are such A**holes
not this deal but one past slick deal about a safe w/ a manuf. coupon, this manager denied my coupon cause he said it would be "giving it away" I told him I still had to pay for some of it. He told me still he couldn't do it. So I said thats fine and walked away with no apology given, then while I was walking around I overheard them talking saying I was one of those people who will just turn around and sell it at a swap meet. I was so pissed I asked to speak to the store manager he explained he was the only one, so I asked for the corp number. He gave me a card with some other managers name on it, crossed it out and put his and some random number that didn't even work. Not my worth my troubles at this point, so I let it go.

I went and picked up today. The coupon still scanned despite being expired (not overly surprising, but still a little lucky).

Anyone know if this coupon is still accepted and if competitors are still accepting it (the latter probably not)

I can't imagine any competitor paying one ounce of attention will allow the coupon.

As for Staples, my understanding is that their computers are set by default to accept their own coupons up to X days after expiration. Knowing this in advance was the only reason why I was willing to try mine on the day after expiration (although I did have a backup plan as well). Unfortunately now though, I don't know for sure what the value of X is. I want to say I seem to remember it was four days after, but I'm really not sure.
