i would buy if it has a better battery life...with just basic web surfing, this thing only last 3 hours.

DVDs are also good for installing things still ( like physical PC games , OS , etc.).

I am in need of a replacement laptop for my DD16 who spilled milk on her Toshiba. I have a bunch of Staples GC left from previous deals. She does not do much more than facebook and a tiny bit of homework. I can get this down to $140 after GC and coupon.
I guess I will take the plunge and keep it in the box for a few days, just in case. Those following me end up on the yellow brick road.

this seems to be about 3 times as powerful as a pentium4... so imo kinda weak.. but good enough for browsing the web and office apps.

Besides being thin - I think the toshiba from bestbuy's clearance site last week for $290 shipped was a better deal.

3.5 hours battery life. real world is probably 2.5-3.
pretty worthless in 2013 for a laptop. |
