I did a clean install on an SSD I had laying around. Had some help from a fellow member with needed BIOS changes and finding drivers. I used Win 7 64bit Ultimate

slmgr -ipk xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx (OEM KEY) the system displays the key is accepted. I know for a fact if a wrong key is entered it will not display such message, because I experimented by changing a couple digits and it will not accept. I even upgraded the BIOS from 6.30 to 6.60. Nothing changed. It shows a Product ID, which matches exactly the key itself, but I still sees the message of "30 days to activate. Activate Windows now". I installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. I tried Professional SP1 as well. Those images were directly downloaded from digital river, and I had success using those ISO for other PC before. Please help! Thanks |

Same goes with RAM. I used Samsung 30nm based but it is OOS everywhere now. Highly recommend Gskill though (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...CL9D-8GBSQ) but Kingston HyperX, Crucial and Muskin is fine. I'd say keep an eye on memory sale, the 8gb kit should be in 30-40 range, and 16gb kit should be in (70-80 range) Last edited by nikets01; 02-19-2013 at 11:45 AM.. |

Went back today to add the $65 2 yr clearance warranty and since they had to do a return and rebuy they allowed me an additional $20 off with the OD coupon from here http://goo.gl/giBFW .... Thank You Slickdeals
