Decent price, got one at this price the last time. Have to say, though, that it's not as good as the other Crane humidifiers we have: the teardrop and the duck both produce better humidity.

I have the Frog and it works quite nice. Bought from Target couple of times for same price.

We own this one and my son has a rare form of childhood lung cancer and had a tumor removed at 11 months old. Both before the surgery and after, he had some coughing and congestion and we noticed a big difference after using this humidifier. The only issue we saw was that we needed to put the humidifier next to his crib (but out of his reach) for it to help him as, when we first put this on his dresser which is on the opposite side of the room, it wasn't enough to propagate throughout the room.

Other than that which kmcherry mentioned as well, this is a good humidifier and we bought it for about $10 more a year ago.

we have this model, be careful of the plastic, it's oddly shaped so it's ungainly when trying to fill it upside down. One drop and the plastic can crack. Once the plastic cracks, the loss of vacuum/suction will cause all the water to leak out.

A decent unit overall. And the kids love the cow look. Oh. the fan is on the bottom so don't leave it sitting on a towel as the airflow suffers and the output will be minimized/stopped. You can put a towel wrapped around the sides and back (leaving front open) in case there is a leak. Our kids used to pick up the top causing a bunch of water to come out onto the wood table and onto the wood floor. We had to teach them to stop doing that as well as putting towels around the unit to catch any inadvertent spills.

I have a fan/filter blowing at the humidifier at low speed to help, it works out just fine for me in the bedroom.

I bought the drop shape version of this since it gets lots of good reviews. After the second use it developed a burning smell (but not fire) and stopped putting out mist. It's on its way back to Crane, and so far they've been good with the customer service. We'll see how the next one does. The real issue is that we got it for our infant daughter's room. We were lucky that my wife was in still in the room when the smell started or it could have gone all night (or until a mid night wake-up at any rate). I'll definitely be checking in on the new unit regularly the first several times until I trust that it function properly.
