Ironic, isn't it that a gift card can expire. If its a gift why are they taking it from you, wouldn't a gift card inherently imply non expiration?

By the way I currently use an LG e-IPS IPS236 monitor how much more of an upgrade would this monitor really be?

Got dell to price match but I had to talk to service reps that were hard to understand (big surprise), repeatedly asked the same questions over and over, and took an hour.

It also ships out at the end of the month .

Anyone think its worth passing on for a 16:10 instead? I have dual 19" ultra sharp monitors and I love them, just looking to gain more screen space.

I run 1280x1024 now, so would the max resolution be comparable since the height is nearly the same?

From 1280x1024 I would go with the bigger 27s that are 2560 wide. (2x1280) Especially if this is for work.

Think I ll dump my Samsung monitor for this. IPS and full HD, makes sense!

Not going to lie. I'm super proud of scoring three of the 24" P2412's for 90$ each yesterday from a local guy. Yeaaaah!

I use the U2212HM (The 22'' Version of this). The colors seem to be vibrant, good viewing angles but not much different than your typical LED-LCD monitor, but I prefer a high refresh monitor over this any day.

it's still a great price, though.

IPS panels have really come down in price. Unless you require ultra fast response times (hardcore FPS gamers basically), then go for the IPS over TN, IPS is so much better.

If you want a less expensive ($70 less on average), but comparable IPS display check out the HP 2311xi. The quality of the screen is excellent. The HP is a 16:9, 1920 x 1080 display with 7ms response times, no vesa mounting, no height adjustment (although you can tilt the stand). If you can live with that, it's an awesome cheap IPS.

I can get this from dell in canada for $170....like others...is it worth the extra $70 I would spend on entry level 23 inch monitor? I currently have dell professional series 22 inch...have had ultrasharps in the past....older ones...comments appreciated
