just buy a dslr for a little more money. you will have the ability to get better lenses and accessories.
what a great
deal!!!! Buy it now even if you don't need it. You will regret it in a few months when you really need it. Never pass up an AMAZING deal! |

Reasons why I bought this awesomely versatile camera for $419.
1. I had the FZ28 and took hundreds of great pictures. 2. The zoom is plenty unless you plan to use a tripod and need it for long distance pictures. 3. An excellent video recorder with stereo mic built-in, external mic jack, and high speed video (I plan to record as much as take pictures, similar cameras pale in comparison for video quality, also roughly the same price of similar video recorder with these features) 4. High res EVF 5. Long battery life 6. Hot shoe on an economic camera 7. Way more portable than a DSLR with comparable range, and cheap DSLRs have lousy video capabiliities 8. Most cons I've read compare it to other cameras in the $600 range Since it's out of stock, I recommend looking into it, because hopefully it'll appear at this price in stock for those that missed out. I'm going to cancel my order, it's supposed to arrive on Monday. Can I just call them and have them redirect the shipment back?
I decided to get the FZ60 for $229+tax. The $170 price difference is too much. http://slickdeals.net/f/5858588-P...p=57602122 |

Just wanted to add my experience with this camera. I had been reasearching a point and shoot for monthes. I have a T3i and Nex 5n but who wants to lug all the cameras and lens to certain situations like an amusement park? I stalked Amazon for monthes and fnally purchased this camera used from the amazon warehouse for 419. I have seen it go as low as 395. When I got it, it was in new condition, it had never been used, so this is option if anyone wants to get this camera. I absolutly love it- well worth the money. You have to print out the manuel, which is kind of a bummer since it is 220 pages. My advise t anyone who buys it- watch the youtube videos by Grahm houhton, he does a fantastic job of teaching you how to use the camera. This camera has so many features and takes great pictures

Need some advice. I'm a novice just looking for a camera that takes really good pictures, minimal delay between shots, and good pics in low light. Would this camera fit the bill? Any other suggestions? Not really looking for a DLSR. But don't need a pocketable camera either. And how does this camera compare to the LX7? I'm also surprised this camera didn't get much interest. Seems like a good deal.
