I wanted to say that you still need to have Costco membership to buy cash card. I do this all the time. I carry Sams membership and have friends buy me cash card from costco. You can buy stuff from costco using cashcard, without membership. |

yea, I do not find that very useful except when you are trying to spend $XXX/Y months to get a credit card bonus. |

Even I can get 5% cash back on gas this quarter, I found I am using Costo's gas station most often since their gas price is usually more than 2% cheaper than others in the area. I get 3% cash back with Costco AE on gas anyway, so I save more than 5% than using other brand. With a gas station GC, you are limited to use that particular brand of gas which may or may not be the best deal around.

The title is incorrect, it isn't 5% off on gas. It is 5% points on purchases made at gas stations and drug stores.

Depending on the type of Card, a one-time purchase fee ranging from $2.95 to $6.95 will apply, but there are no monthly service or maintenance fees. FYI. The $100 AE GC is $105.64 at Walmart.com. Why bother with all this? Just buy 3 x $500 Paypal reload cards at drugstores, or 3 x Vanilla Reload cards at CVS to feed to Bluebird. Lot faster.
