nope, I have experience with HP.

I purchased one in 2007 and heavily used it for gaming under low graphics quality. Its still up and running, and I resold it for my money back. (HP Pavilion DV6646US)

But yeah, Lenovo have some really good deals but I *believe* that they are using low quality parts in their build.

I am not sure if you can even do that. If you want 900p, then you have to get the 14" thinkpad models instead.

The Dell is $840 total with these specs:

Processor: Intel Core 3rd Generation i5-3210M Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.1 GHz - TPM)
32GB SSDR mSATA Card
6GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
500 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)

I believe the Dell is 1080p graphics too...although I could be wrong.

Personally, I think 1080p for a 14" is a little too much. However, 900p would be perfect since a friend of mine has one. On the other hand, you would definitely want to get 1080p if you want a 15.6".

Lenovo doesn't have a 13.3" notebook with an optical drive either. Besides a Mac and Sony S Series, does anyone know of a 13.3 notebook with an optical drive that is current?

EDIT: They have the IdeaPad Z380 at 13.3". No i7 processor available though.

Totally. These morons are having a hard time unloading the low-res rejects, which they deserve because they underestimated consumer sophistication. (Note: almost all the 5-inch or so smartphones at CES were 1080p.)

Ahhhh great price on this one but damn if only it were a 15.6" laptop instead.

Weak battery but its meant to be a semi-gaming/multimedia laptop that should be plugged in.

Or you can get the best deal ever and just get a refurbed Asus G73/74 off ebay for around $700-$800 and be a boss.
