I don't feel comfortable paying $800 for a regular sized laptop without a dedicated GPU. If this was an ultrabook, then it would be a completely different scenario.

Ya, very true. This is kinda in a size gap that really isn't for me either. 13.3 with normal specs, or 17.3 with gaming specs is more my cup of tea.

Do these 15" still have the IPS screen at FullHD?

This thing starts at $799 but that's for the i7 , Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, 8 GB of RAM, the 750 GB 5400 HDD, and the DVD burner.

If you want the bigger processor, more RAM, a dedicated card, and/or upgraded HDD/SSD, then you're going to be paying more. The $120 off does help though a bit.

Dunno. For $849 [newegg.com] you can get the Dell 15r SE with 1080p matte screen, better GPU [notebookcheck.net], and backlit keyboard.

Really bad "deal" for a laptop without a dGPU.
