Dual Core Android 4.1 HDMI PC-on-a-Stick $39 @Amazon

I have a Logitech mouse that works like a wii remote. Are those pretty good on this thing? Can I use a USB hub to put a BT single for a keyboard?

Would this setup be good enough for YouTube,email, Pandora.TV, angry birds, bad piggies, etc?


Also, how soon should prices drop on these once the new processors roll out(next month?)?

If the mouse and keyboard are plug-n-play it should work. From what I've seen on YouTube, these newer devices are very capable of doing basic computer tasks such as the ones you listed. These devices usually have 1 mini-USB and 1 standard USB like this one does I believe.

No idea how how much these are going to drop in price if and when the newer chips come out. I can't believe it'll drop lower than previous gen models at $35. The second gen models have only been shipping for a few months.

Not sure there is a deal here. Dualcore RK3066 sticks are available from amazon prime shipping and better returns if there is an issue for $43

not yet. xbmc relies on external players for hw decoding still, but the interaction isn't that great. i tried getting everything set up for a couple days before i got sick of it and went back to my htpc.

i got an mk802 and returned it because it was too laggy. i got an mk808 (flashed with finless 1.6 rom) and then returned that because it crashes after being on a while. both units were authentic units.

i'm going to wait until they mature a bit more.

Another question... has anybody used one of these on a 55" TV? Does it look too upscaled, or does it look good? How about YouTube, Netflix, Pandora.TV, and text?

What's the difference between this and roku? What I really mean is that this stick seem to do what roku does and more. Why would one buy roku over this?

The previous posts answer this very question in great deal. In short, this is a full computer and not a video appliance (Roku).

Can you do skype with roku? Gmail, google voice, google+, games, thousands of games? The list goes on and on. This sticks are relatively new. If you are not in urgent need I'd suggest waiting a few months for the quad core versions to come out. http://www.tgdaily.com/hardware-f...-processor
