I don't actually own one but it does not have an hdmi out. Forgot that these sticks use hdmi out.

Yes as long as your TV has a unused HDMI port. That's all it needs for video and sound.

Since it has a HDMI Male ....can it be plugged directly to the tv without a PC??????

These are little tiny computers. Yes you can plug them right into an hdmi port on a tv or a short hdmi cable can be used. There is a lot of information on google about these devices.

What's the catch ? It seems like it is very useful devise that will turn my TV to an android phone of course without phone capability.

They turn any hdmi ready tv into a 'smart' tv.
These devices are not perfect. They are not even ready for people to purchase them from Walmart.
Someone listed earlier the common problems you see people complain about. Wifi range, heat, lock ups, etc.
Some people who buy these have no problems with them. Most likely they are not trying to load xbmc or play across wireless N.
If you simply want to watch some videos off your usb drive I'm pretty sure these devices will work fine for most people.
If you want to connect a camera and skype with it. You might have to tinker with the firmware.

I'm very technically inclined but i have been hesitant on purchasing one of these devices myself. I want it to work with xbmc with minimal issues before I jump on one of these.

Well said I would wait for the next generation of Android mini PC sticks that fix the wi-fi issues and run a little cleaner.

Thanks to the OP of this deal. I've been thinking about one of these, and this deal seems reasonable enough. I don't mind modding the wifi antenna if needed. One of our TVs is without a htpc, so this will give it more capability, and keep the hardware package small.
