example, their shipping credit for psp vita is only $3.99 and there is no way to ship it for that amount, but you figure it in your price, differences is a few cent. $350 + $17.99 vs $332.01+$35.98 and you are listing in a high fee categories. that is one of those time where you should use ebay Last edited by Akarin; 02-17-2013 at 06:55 PM.. |

Once your item sells you won't find it listed in the "fees" section because there is no fee. You will be able to find it in a section under the "promotion savings" tab. This is a relatively new tab. Here is how to get there: 1) Click on My Ebay 2) Click on "Account" tab 3) Under your account balance you should find 4 tabs "All Account Activity", "Fees", "Credits", and "Payments and Refunds". Click on one of those tabs (doesn't matter which one) 4) Click on "Promotional Savings" tab (wasn't there in the screen prior). That is where you will find your final value fee waived.. HTH |

Problem is, difference between New and Used items on ebay is more than 20%, more like 50%. If you try to resell a NIB returned item as New Other (where the difference is more like 20%) you just open yourself to more problems. If I'm a buyer and a previous buyers has taken a NIB item out of the box and handled it than I consider that item Used (albeit lighty, but still used), not New Other. Buyers know sellers don't want to risk a neg, even for a high ticket item because feedback rep is everything on ebay. Last edited by shadowshopper; 02-18-2013 at 10:43 PM.. |

If you have an alternative suggestion for 10% overhead I'm all ears. You do realize a small business Brick and Mortar overhead is like 50% don't you? 10% is cheap as hell, comparatively. Last edited by shadowshopper; 02-18-2013 at 10:31 PM.. |

restocking fee is not capped, but if ridiculous amount (like 50% or 100%) the buyer will just escalate the case to ebay. New and like-new items are similiarly priced 15-20% in difference maybe. unless its a rare collectible that loses value once opened in which you state it in your description. in which case you list it as used- like new for amazon, or on ebay used but in description, clearly describe that it has only very slight usage. unless the buyer abused the item, which also dosen't happen very often within the few weeks return window. I agree that a company should be able to charge whatever they want to. I'm not saying anything against that; however, I think the whole commission thing is Bufu Bull Shit. It takes eBay the same effort, bandwidth, etc... if I am selling a $3.00 matchbox car or a $100 matchbox car. |

1. fraudulent payment. 2. fraudulent seller. 3. fraudulent buyer. if buyer agrees to a 25% restocking fee, then 25% it is. |

Difference between New and Used is ~50% |
