Just a warning for those trying this... I did this with my fiancees account and didn't bother to cancel auto-renew. Once the first month was up it didn't stop and she ended up getting a free month. After that 2nd month though they locked the account for non-payment and said the only way they'd restore access is if we paid the full $9.99 for the free month she had. So make sure to cancel auto-renew, or use a gamertag you don't care about if you're using a prepaid credit card.

Lmao I had a rebate Visa card that had $2.54 on it and I was thinking what the hell am I going to buy for $2.54. Evidently 2 months of xbox live. The card was going to expire 4/13 anyway. Woooohooo! Thanks man.

I would hardly call it stealing if I didn't know this was posted on CAG and since it is technically a deal from Microsoft / Xbox. And technically, everyone is "stealing" this deal from Microsoft when they repost it. A friend told me about this and since then I've seen it posted on multiple websites. Sure, some extra traffic to my site would be nice, but my site is not a "pay to join" forum. It's free for everyone.

Also, the fact that you keep posting the link to that thread seems like you're trying to advertise more than me. I'll remove my link because I don't honestly care. You're just being annoying at this point.

You kind of glossed over the important part for people like me that don't know how you linked a Chase Visa card to an Amex. What's that process like? I've never heard of that but it sounds interesting. What is the linking conduit your bank? Paypal or other please elaborate.

That's interesting about the Amex card working @ Redbox. I've never been able to get a Amex Rebate card to work there. I don't unfortunately have a regular Amex or know what a SERVE card is though either (other than what you've described).

I don't spend nearly as much time on CAG as I do on SDs & don't think the CAGs search nor using google from the outside to search things on CAG is always very easy because seems like every time someone different starts the thread they don't use a standard form so it's hit or miss what comes up.

Example: say for the Best Buy Gamer Magazine threads that come out 10 times a year How freaking hard is it for people to post the same agreed upon standard phrasing each time?!?. It should be edited by the moderators to a standard format. Something like Best Buy Gamer thread (DATE - Issue) - or whatever makes the most sense to the mods but then it should be that every month. Then all anyone would have to do is follow the format and finding things would be easier. That's a small tangent, but I write that because I like when people take/steal\repost or find the deal on their xbox dashboards or from the CAG here because when they do, like this deal, it trips my deal alerts.

...SO Instead of everyone getting in a fluff or a twist (which always reminds me of the line from the movie STRIPES = Paraphrasing it as it's been a long time but ...lighten up FrAnCiS!) - Instead, why doesn't a CAG designate or moderator or their trusted member get into contact with slickdeals and post a verified CAG account over here? Not talking about every single possible deal but deals that this that have actually a broader audience here. I mean most people on CAG if they play Xbox have a Gold membership, but here there a lot of people that don't as well so this deal has a big base here. YES, if people take a deal they should give credit to the source. Just seems like CAG could post a deal & drive traffic their way as well instead of getting P.O. when people do it here - if that is where this came from and not from the dashboard or M$.

The only problem I see to that is if that would mean the CAG would lose revenue from Clicks? IDK if they even do that? Anyway just a thought. Returning to my hiding spot behind the couch
