It worked for me 3 times after having used it once over a month ago on the same account. I'm shocked they'd have that loophole.
I thought about hitting back as many times as it would let me, but I still have a fear that doing it too much could cause Microsoft to notice (even doing it 3 times could be a problem) and then out of the blue they'd ban my account forever and take away over a thousand dollars worth of games I purchased. One would hope if they didn't like it that they'd simply cancel the extra free months or ask me to pay for them, but Microsoft is Microsoft. Companies like Microsoft, Apple and Sony I always worry would go straight for the jugular with no mercy.
True, that could be a problem. I would think the same, only for me I haven't purchased anything on the Xbox Live Marketplace (more of a PSN guy)
I'm still blown away they haven't shut this down. I stopped at 3 free months (hitting the back button) because I was afraid if I did much more I could get banned and lose a thousand dollars worth of games I bought over the years. Who knows what the real limit on this is or if MS cares or how well they monitor it. I don't dare try any more on the same account, but I suppose I could put it on another family account.
I ended with up 5 months free by pushing the back button over and over again. Hope they dont charge my credit card! I paid two dollars for the 2 months first time I did this! This is a post that keeps on giving, thanks OP
