This sounds stupid, but is there anything more to this than just some $1 UV LEDs hooked up to a power source? Couldn't you just make one of these yourself for like $8? I've wanted to make one but wasn't sure if there was something more to it or not...

This promo is only for "new" customers....so, why don't you try Chrome's incognito Wink
Is it enough to just create a new account? What about using the same mailing address? The same credit card?

Awesome find! I have the larger CND machine, but this will be perfect for my little sister!

Does anyone have any recommendations on getting more paint colors? Will any brand work or only Red carpet brand? I checked out the french manicure kit and it was $20 :/

GET THIS KIT! It's amazing and a huge money saver compared to going to the salon. One gel mani/pedi in my town is $65 + tip. I paid $40 for this kit in December and I think I'm going to buy one for my sister in law. She works in nursing and the only polish they allow is gel.

Another bonus for me is it makes your nails practically bullet proof. I used to break nails all the time but with the gel polish my nails have never been longer.

I also ordered a white gel polish and a clean up brush [amazon.com] for perfect tips. My french manicures look professional and don't chip for 2+ weeks. I do not recommend the french gel strips [drugstore.com], they looked great at first but didn't last more than a day. I prefer french to the colored polishes because it's not as noticeable when your nails start to grow.

Tip: when you run out of the purify and erase products inside you can cheaply replace them with rubbing alcohol and pure acetone respectively.

As far as I can tell the actual gel polishes are the same from brand to brand. Try Sensationail or Gelish. The Sally Hansen "gel" polish in drugstores, however, is not the same and is a total waste of money IMO.

Are there other accessories we need to purchase as well? I see UV gloves, nail soakers, etc., when I research - sorry, this is all new to me but I got one! Smilie

I don't use the gloves, I'm not sure who would need/want to. I've looked at the nail soakers too but just use cotton balls soaked in acetone and wrap each nail with strips of foil. 10 minutes later the old polish scrapes right off with an orange wood stick.

You will have to get more lint free wipes eventually, but you can typically find those on Amazon [amazon.com] for a LOT less.

Awesome - thanks! Big Grin Repped for a previous post so can't rep again yet.

I am looking forward to lower maintenance nails, I think it'd be a record if polish would even last a week for me.

As someone said, too late for V-Day for the wife, but I'm sure she'll still appreciate this.

No problem! I was happy to share what I know and love about this product. I used to give myself a french manicure every 4 or 5 days, I hate chipped polish. This kit has saved me a lot of time and I think any woman would love it. Takes a little practice and removal can be time consuming, but it is absolutely worth it.
