FYI - the pi (running xbmc) also supports airplay out of the box. Just turn it on and it is available to any device on your network. Once again, not trying to threadcrap - a few people have PM'd me questions as they wanted a cheaper alternative to the apple tv (I own both).

XBMC has addon for many online sites.

You many want to add the following on top of the $35 pi

SD card = $??
Power Supply = $5-$10 (get a good one, needs 2amp)
Case = $5-$15

All of the above are optional, you may have a good power supply around.

It takes time to configure pi, which may not be everyone.

I didn't know about that MPEG-2 key... very interesting (and only ~ $4). Thanks for sharing.

any apple tv file Converter (on the mac i use AnyVideo Converter HD) + .MKV 1080p bluray files +Itunes Home Sharing = Greatness on the Apple TV,

So you can for sure use the Apple TV to play movies2k.com from your Mac or iPad onto your tv? Cuz that's the biggest reason I want to buy one
