I agree. I don't use it too much right now because I don't have a wireless keyboard anymore (working on that) but it was awesome airplaying my mac mini screen to my apple tv. |

On top of streaming just about anything - blu rays, home movies, internet free cable, etc, I am going to start investigating the pvr utilities that are built in to the later versions of xbmc. |

You will need to encode anything you capture in x.264. The Pi does not have the power to play anything in software that it's hardware decoder does not support. That means you'll need a reasonably beefy back end. |

just picked up the refurb off apple.com for 95 shipped and tax. i am happy with that!

Crazy thing about this is, I was able to pick one up basically brand new for 55 dollars last year (Through CL of course). It still has the apple warranty also. Doubt any jailbreak will come out. As of now its, collecting dust.

I'm not really understanding what Apple TV does really? I bought one and I see you can watch YouTube and rent movies. Is that basically it? I'm still trying to figure out what the hype is all about with it? What entertainment are you guys getting out of it?
