I personalty prefer the one that cam with the e-500 kit 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 Zuiko Lenses, better f/ stop.

4/3rds will fit micro 4/3rds, but micro 4/3rds will not fit 4/3rds. To make the 4/3 fit the micro 4/3 you basically have to put in a spacer for the right spacing. To make a micro 4/3 fit a 4/3 you would have to make the lens fit farther into the camera body...which isn't really feasible.

Also, there's a better (faster) 4/3 lens from olympus out there that's 40-150 with f/3.5-4.5 instead of f/4-5.6. They can be had pretty regular off ebay for about a hundred bucks.

Tax in NJ. Adorama through Amazon also charges tax but adds $8 shipping as well. Checkout through Adorama directly for FSSS plus 1% CB from Mr.R (the lens doesn't fall into any of the "tiers" or approved items for higher CB percentages from the other CB sites).

picked it up. Was frustrated by the short distance on my lenses... 45mm is too long for indoors and too short for wildlife... this should fit that spot nicely (its usually sunny for wildlife)

But then you have to pay $160 for the 4/3 to micro 4/3 adapter.

How does this compare to the Panasonic 14-140mm for shooting video?

I bought this in the spring of 2012 and it was like $30 or more expensive.

Overall I am satisfied with the small and inexpensive tele-lens, very handy for outdoor shooting when there is enough sunlight. I took many great pictures in the Disney Orlando last summer.

Don't have either one to compare but just by looking, looks like the Panny has OIS built, starts at 14mm instead of 45, and lastly, it costs 6x as much (or 4.5x if you buy it used). Shooting from distance, I would go for the more similar (in priced and specs) 45-200mm Panny which can be had for less than $200 and has built in OIS.

The $101 kit is totally worth the extra $2, but the cleaning kit is back ordered. I think they gonna ship all the other stuff for me first.
