**** According to ESPN CS, if you try to use the link and you are more than 1 yr from your account expiring, you will not be allowed to get the $1/1 yr deal.
Your account would default to the $26/1 yr. Then you have to call CS to get them to cancel your order if you don't want to pay that amount.
ALSO IT CAN TAKE UP TO 24 HOURS TO SHOW PAYMENT CONFIRMATION according to customer service.
If you have a Bank of America credit card, you can use their Shop Safe feature to generate a temporary credit card number authorized for $1 and expiring in x months. This will help you avoid charges when renewal comes up, since they won't be able to charge it.

Hmm possible problem, it seems when I went to the renew the sub it charged my credit card for the usual $11.99 even though it says clearly below its for $1. Oh well if the charge goes through ill just cancel it, meh.
