does anyone have both the naked original and naked II palettes? i have naked II and wondering if i should grab the original as well. the new naked basics palette looks nice too.

I was reading about this today and some points to consider were that the Original Naked has warmer colors and naked 2 has cooler colors. Original Naked is said to have a higher quality brush even though it is not dual ended. Original Naked comes with primer, Naked 2 comes with a lip junkie. Original Naked palette has casing that attracts dust/shadow powder stuffs but the Naked 2 is easy to dent/scratch/fingerprints etc.

I hope that helps a little.

I have Naked Basics as well and I love how convenient it is, the matte shades are really nice to have but it's more of an accessory palette rather than a "whole look" palette imo. The case is a little hard to open and close too. I was reading some posts today about girls with nails having a hard time not to break them.

I wasn't sure why I got the BB cream, so I didn't mention it here. I'm glad to hear that it's standard for over $50. I'll add that to the OP. I'm excited to try it.

I buy so much UD that I think I could add a room onto my house with the palettes. It's bad.

To the person who asked - I bought the Naked palette, instead of Naked 2, because I didn't want to spend the $$ to buy both. My decision was based on the user photos. I felt like the Naked palette looked more useful and blendy. The eye looks that the users posted were really beautiful and I didn't care for the looks that the users of the Naked 2 palettes got as much, when I imagined them on me. I knew they wouldn't work as well on my skin tone. Maybe it'll help you to look at those photos.

I've also seen them both in the store and I prefer colors like Gunmetal and Sin over colors like YDK and Blackout. Fortunately, Half Baked (which I love) is in both of them. I love Foxy, but I think Virgin comes close enough to make me happy. Those were my own reasons for choosing Naked over Naked 2.

I had to control myself (I had to actually go through my cart and remove things, and remind myself of how much $$ I've recently spent on makeup...which is embarrassing).

I was going to get a brush, but the Naked palette comes with one, so I'm going to try it first and see how I like it.
