Can probably do some light gaming... it might struggle at 1080p.

I would pay extra to get 1080p. I wish more laptop manufacturers had the option. OR, 1080p should become the standard. How much does it really cost them to buy the better part? bleh, the 7550M really blows, i hope none of you want to play games as it can barely handle low settings. I dont get the point of tier 3 and below dedicated gpu's, they are no good for gaming and i dont think offer much above the integrated gpu for video playback. Maybe it makes it a little smoother.

Think about battery, not performance. You dont want to wired laptop, do you?

I noticed a problem with the S-Series which I suspect will also apply to this notebook. The mousepad below the keyboard is HUGE. When typing, you'll naturally rest your palms on the upper corners of the mousepad which can cause you to active and move the mouse while typing. It's kind of annoying to have the mouse jump on suddenly while typing a sentence. You can sort of move your hands around the pad or turn off the mousepad to fix this problem, but this is a poor design decision by Sony.

Using the Vaio S15 I can't say I've had this problem as much.
Perhaps I just have odd hand positioning, but my arms are approaching the keyboard from outer angles and the palm of my thumb ultimately doesn't touch the keypad.

Its the same problem with my HP laptop too. I think it may be on any huge laptop with the number pad build in so the mouse pad is move further to the left and you tend to naturally rest your palm on it.

When the title said 7650M, I was going to buy one. Now that it says 7550M forget it.

Even has a matte screen. Nice!

There is a setting within the OS that you can enable to disable accidental touchpad use while typing.
