Target (and BB) employee theft (hiding until store closes) is prevalent in my area (Los Angeles), most of them are on slickdeals daily on their phones while working, they know whats on sale. A few times I had to embarrass employees into bringing one out of the cabinet somewhere in the store or in the back where they hide the "in stock" items using the excuse "o, it takes 24 hours for inventory to update" BS its all electronic, no electrons wait 24 hours and there is no manual input in a system that sells billions of items on a single day worldwide.

They know better not to lose their $3000/month job for a $34.76 savings on a stupid camera. So when push comes to shove and you are going to call the manager to search the locked cabinets (or even if you ask to see them) suddently one pops out. One BB employee claimed they "JUST HAD A DELIVERY" at 9pm and he found one in the back for me off the truck. LOL.

Got the last one at West Covina after employees at Duarte hid their stock. Thanks West Covina target. Favorite target now.

Maybe i saw you hah, I just went to the one on Morril as well, seemed kind of fishy when she said that their distribution center "thought" they sent the ipads but they never did.

oh well.

called my local target which has it in stock but the rep said they didn't even receive any shipments and that its an error in the system. BS....

EDIT: called the one on Morril Ave in San Jose too lol

Picked up the last one at university target in Tampa.

It was shown as available in Westborough, MA target store but when i reached there it was OOS by then. I then went to Walmart and got it price matched. Final price after taxes - $ 317

Got the last one at our store. Employee tried to pretend they didn't have any more, but when they opened the case, the spine had a 2020 on it, which was the end of the DPCI number for the 16GB black iPad3. I told them there was one right there, pointing to the only one in the whole case. They reluctantly sold it to me.

DON'T BELIEVE THE EMPLOYEES if the online stock checker says Limited or In Stock. In those two cases, make them open the cabinet and check. If it says OOS online, it probably is.
