Agree. I dont know what it is but I thought people in SD are smart and are about saving money and getting the best bang for your buck, but this deal right here is definitely not the best bang for your back. Its not even an OK deal. Its just Apple - simply put its the hype controlling your mind.
The hype got people's brains controlled with the robotic hype that they created over the years and every one knows that.
$299 should have been the regular price of the iPad 3 at Apple's website - but where is the iPad 3 at Apple? Its not even listed in their website. Its iPad mini - iPad 2 and iPad 4 - skipped right through iPad 3...
Can you see why? It was plain to see that iPad 3 is basically the same as the iPad 4 minus some small differences - hence them removing it from their website and keeping the iPad 2 instead so people when they go head and shop for iPads will feel see the big difference between the iPad 2 and the iPad 4 since the differences are pretty notable.
Im no an Apple hater - I spell Apple's name and iPads the way it should be instead of lowering the P to p with a purpose of degrading it - not at all - I think they make nice looking products - but their prices are definitely not the best bang for your buck. This coming from a person owned and used iPod{touch models only} and iPhones who never paid full prices for them.

Good luck with that. From firsthand experience, the nexus 7 build quality is crap, their customer support is awful, and the apps can't touch the variety and depth of the apple ecosystem. You're not just buying a tablet, you're buying into an ecosystem. At $100 more than a Nexus 7 16gb, this iPad3 is DEFINITELY a SD.

I agree with the current nexus 7 build quality - Im not too fond of Asus, I am typing this message on a 12.1 inch asus notebook/netbook - screen craps out sometimes - touch pad was bad since first day{got it fixed after sending it to Asus}, however google's customer service isnt that bad.
Asus wasnt mainly what held me back from buying the current Nexus 7 - but I wasnt too impressed that it was made by Asus. LG on the other hand which is going to be making the new Nexus 7.7 and with the specs that its going to have for its price is for my liking - and Im not sure why ur complaining about the Apps but this is not the BlackBerry Playbook app store that ur comparing to - this is Google.
