Also, with 3rd comes with iOS 5 I believe which means you still have google maps (someone correct me if I'm wrong, mine came with 5). 4th one comes with iOS 6 with no way to go back. That's two reasons I would NOT get 4th even at same price. |

Lots of people in this thread are way off base about their inventory conspiracies. Most large big box stores run updates on their system either live or every few hours. But people overlook that there is an accuracy factor that is questionable. Inventory checkers / orderers are in most stores meant to physically verify the count before ordering. Do you really think every time that departments inventory comes up for processing they physically go look at each individual item? The average one has a pretty good clue what is where and will skip lots of it. So if they remembered seeing something somewhere, it's an item usually under lock and key, they'll just assume it's still there. Ask any home depot store about their nail gun accuracy... Add to that the fact that many store managers don't want to take a mark down for missing items during times when retail is lagging and you have another reason for overstated inventories. To think retail employees run around hoarding $400 items is naive considering in most stores that'll get you fired.

![]() You obviously missed the entire point (it was me that suggested it BTW...not that it could ever really be enforced). I could care less about someone finding a deal and telling their neighbors, friends, family, etc, etc, people that call are calling because it's the easy way to do it. However, as a result it tends to cause 1 of 4 things to happen (from most likely to least likely). -Employee alerts management who fixes the error or pulls all under priced items from the shelf (not applicable to this deal). -Employee lies to the caller and tells 'em it's out of stock and then stashes the item and buys it after his shift when he can buy items on sale. (Even my overly honest brother has done this) or calls his friend to buy it. -Employee's manager catches wind, calls Corporate who "ends" the sale immediately. -Honest employee actually puts it on hold and by the time you get there, it's still in stock. So, needless to say, it usually doesn't bode well. Calling is just classic selfishness. The caller would rather increase his/her chance at getting the item by 5% (since they wouldn't drive to every store) at the cost of potentially ruining the deal for others by 50%. If everyone calls, getting a great deal will be a thing of the past. We already have to compete with 10x as many SDers out there. Let's not compete with the Corporate machine as well. |

Price match with Apple through CSR.... I have done that in past multiple times. Also, free ship @ Apple. Just tell CSR, that you saw that Targe was selling them for $299. They will look it up online and then match the price. DO NOT TALK ABOUT IN-STORE ONLY, ETC. ETC. ETC. |

If you were talking about the camera comment, the 4 has a better front camera (but same back camera, I believe). Apple discontinued the 3 because there wasn't enough difference between the 4 (and the 4 fixed some early heat issues but seems mostly to add the lightning connector to correspond with the iphone 5) |
