I found in aisle 26 and grabbed two, another SD'er grabbed 5 and random guy saw us buying these and grabbed 3 after seeing they were a deal. Employee watched us and grabbed last 3 cases (12 cords) to put on floor and mentioned that they have been that price for weeks and was surprised by the sudden interest.

For anyone who still wants to get in on this deal, my advice is to hit up your local store(s). My zip code was showing no availability for any store within 50 miles when I went to pick up my online order yesterday, but they had a bunch in stock in the lighting aisle. I picked up another 4 for a friend who also wanted in on the deal.

Couldn't find any locally, don't think they even stock them here in Michigan. Found 50 in New Jersey though, and as I will be there next week on business, order one for in store pickup. Yah!

Just picked my two at HD, and there were three more waiting for pickup right next to mine. Another SDer I'm sure.

I have an inexpensive 14g orange cord and I use a simple manual cord reel to store it but it is all twisted up and hard to wind or unwind it. How do you store these cords without getting it twisted up?

you lay the cord straight out allt he way. then you manually wrap it around your elbow and hand, paying attention to how the cord wants to be wrapped around.

while the above will work for a while, eventually the lines inside the cord get twisted and the last couple feel of the cord look all twisted around.

This video [youtube.com] shows how to wrap a cord properly, any other method usually results in twists/damage to the cord. It's really easy too.

I have the champion 3500/4000 watt generator that was from cabelas atthe end of Dec. There are 2 15A outlets on it. Will these cords work being 12 gauge or am I going to burn em up?
