I really regret buying this at Amazon for $65: http://www.amazon.com/US-Wire-991...Wire+99100

But I was desperate with the snow coming, and the package ended up being late anyway for the big storm. Do you think it's worth returning this cable and getting the one from HD? The US Wire cable looks superior but its not worth 3X the price. Thoughts?

careful with what you plug into these, wouldn't use an electric lawn mower for example if you don't want to burn out the switch or motor

The US Wire & Cable one you bought is a MUCH more durable and heavy duty cord compared to this. It's made in the USA, with better materials, and has a MUCH better jacket. At the price you paid, that's a good deal for such a quality cord.

You could get two of these and make a 150ft cord for ~$40 if you just needed something light duty, but if you've already bought and used the other one, might as well keep it.

Thanks, grabbed one.

Stopped by store in Frederick, MD.. had them in middle of aisle with the $19.99 price on them.. 3 more boxes besides the open one on top, so at least 40 there when I left.

Left one in my cart last night and somehow its still in there and let me finish checkout despite the item page not allowing add to cart anymore. I took it as a sign that I should order lol

Now I am going to have to say 'say what?' Wink Hopefully you are just joking around, if not, then please get a few books on how all of this stuff works, because that's just a crazy statement.

If you're using it for an electric snowblower, keep the US Wire cord. That cord uses a SJEOW jacket vs the SJTW jacket of the Workforce cord. The elastomer jacket on the US Wire cord will remain flexible in the cold which is very nice. Thermoplastic jackets like on the Workhorse cord will get very, very stiff in the cold, especially after a little age. The US Wire cable jacket is also oil resistant and also carries a lifetime warranty.

Side note for everyone who bought these, I was talking to an old co-worker today; the owner of the company he works for (commercial electrical) bought a bunch of 50' 12/3 Workforce cords. He said they've burned up a few cord ends. Still, at this price, I have no problem spending a few bucks to throw a set of new cord ends on. I'm probably going to go pick up a few more cords tomorrow for my Dad in Detroit who couldn't get any.

I have a 14/3 SJEOW cord that stays outside all winter that I use for starting the snowblower (electric start, no battery option) and also for the block heaters on my Jeep and my fiances car. It's nice getting in the car in the morning and instantly having heat Smilie

Otherwise, aside from length they will, electrically their performance will be identical. In all other seasons, they're basically the same. The Workhorse cord is a 2 wheel drive Chevy, the US Wire cord is a 4 wheel drive GMC Wink

Ordered one online earlier and picked it up later this evening. Site says not available in any store around me but the store had a bunch on display when I went to pick up.

Nicest extension cord I've ever owned. Much better than the cheap orange ones I'm used to. Good deal
