Hard to know if this is a temporary drop for pricematch to buydig, or if it's the new normal. Sounds like 70D and maybe 7DM2 are on the horizon, might disrupt 6D pricing some more, or maybe this is the best it's going to be for a long while... who knows.

Thought about the BuyDig deal too long. Not passing up this time. With the 2% back and fantastic return policy, it's just as good if not better. Can't wait.

Going off history, prices tend to go up from the end of February until early summer (late May/June), but, hard to say really. Either way, I can't see how the 70D would have any affect on 6D pricing, different cameras at completely different price points. The 7D2 could, but, who knows if that will ever appear

Since this is showing up as $2399 at both B&H and Adorama in cart as well, would people say that it seems to be a permanent price decline? Trying to decide if I should buy, or hold off for a sale if this is the new regular price.

I'm right there with you, the 2% back and freebies might go away, but that's just ~$50 total. It went out of stock on Amazon, so it was showing from other sellers at $2699 and I thought I missed out, glad to see it's back now but still can't decide if I want to pull the trigger.

On the Canon Direct store [canon.com] it's still $2699, so, I wouldn't consider $2399 the new permanent price drop. If it were, that would make it a 2nd $200 price drop in <3 months since release, which I can't imagine happening even if sales were awful. And actually, it's still showing up as $2699 list everywhere except Amazon (B+H and Adorma have it $2699 - $200), so, I'd say this is a temporary thing until they make it permanent.

Probably won't see deals get better until they do the next round of rebates, whenever that is.

And there it goes, back up to $2,516.95 for the kit. Kept feeling like I should pull the trigger but never did, hopefully the next deal isn't far away. Still $2,399 on Adorama and BH, and even 2% back on BH, but backordered.
