Is there a good guide for setting up and using the 8910W with Apple Airport Extreme? I have been using the setup flawlessly on LAN.. but have no idea how to set up for outside viewing.. All the guides and tutorial seems to be different than my AE.. Thanks in advance!

What 'education' does that person need if they just said they've installed 9 cameras. Their hands-on, actual owner experience is "invalid" compared to your scanning of the forum?

Maybe this is a sign. My 8910 just died this morning. Was working last night but this morning it was inaccessible. Even resetting and connecting it through the ethernet cable doesn't work.

What does installing the camera have to do with security flaws? Most 12 year-olds could set up these cameras. That doesn't mean they are secure. You also should go read the forum posts instead of looking for a hand out.

Ah, good to know it's worked for you. I guess it can work, but to be honest, I'd much prefer a dedicated monitor in addition...especially for features like having a series of LED lights that light up to indicate volume level, so even if you are away from the monitor you can tell if the baby is making noise.

Plus you have to have the app running dedicated on the device, which works well if the device you use for monitoring is specifically meant for monitoring...afaik, IP Cam Viewer cannot run in the background providing audio feedback in IOS or Android (at least I never got it to work). Does Baby Monitor HD allow you to that?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to TC, just curious about the capabilities with this camera + software. Im a gadget and technology freak, but sometimes, I feel like certain products are just better at what they do and don't need to be replaced by slicker but ultimately not as well functioning technology (eg: touch screen controls for car audio volume, air conditioning, etc).

Just setup the one I bought from Amazon back in December and notice on the lens f = 2.8MM. The one I bought from Foscam has f = 3.6MM. The Foscam one has better quality for day and nights. Did Amazon send me a fake one?

It's unlikely than either of you are even aware of what what problem was described by MULTIPLE people. I'd be surprised if you even visited the forum ONCE. I've seen your uninspired vomit on the forums before. You've been pwned by several people in the past [including myself] for your unsubstantiated and often misguided comments. Case in point -- you desperately tried to convince people that the GTX460V2 was inferior in some way to the GTX460V1 only based on the smaller memory bandwidth of 192bit vs 256bit. It was only after many posts that you finally gave up after being proven wrong again and again.

What security flaw? If you actually read that thread, there really is no security flaw, unless you are a dumbass and don't change the default username/password that comes factory installed. If you don't change the password, and someone scans the DDNS addresses provided by Foscam and finds your specific camera address, they'd be able to access your feed...because you didn't do the basic common sense thing -> change your default password

If you don't have the default password, there really is no security issue. That's like saying me having remote desktop enabled on my home computer so I can RDP in from elsewhere is a security flaw because someone could RDP into my computer if they figured out my password and scanned IP addresses to find my computer.

f = 2.8 is better than f = 3.6, its able to detect more light.
