I have bought several car chargers in the last year or so including what I think is this one. They have all stopped charging my phone within a few months. I have never bought one of those $25 branded oem charges cuz I am a good slickdealer, but I am starting to think either they all crap out after a few months, or maybe, just maybe, those chargers last longer. Still, I'd rather keep buying these kinds and take my chances I think. Just my 2 cents.

I've got two of these and while 1 has pretty much stopped connecting efficiently (after 4+ years of daily use) I'll happily buy another for $3 to replace the dying 1. Thanks OP.

i would differ, i got the non-nextel branded one off amazon [amazon.com] and it's phenomenal with no issues, truely charges fast in ac mode and has worked with every phone (at least 10 different models over the years) i've tried it with, and my Nexus7...4.5 stars with 2227 reviews on amazon..

already have a couple but always lose or break them
they work way better then the cheap ebay/1SAD chargers

there maybe compatibility issues with these microUSB chargers

my Motorola car charger charges my MOTO Droid just fine but my MyTouch4G and Nexus S refuses to be charged.

Maybe the current it offers goes too high and the newer phones just shut off the charging current for self-protection?

Just bought the data/charge cable for 99 cents on Ebay. They have the car adap. w/ the cable for $2.

I ordered this thinking it was the same as i bought before. Mine was crap! The plug has to be wiggled/propped to charge and it fits extremely loosely with no latching at all. Maybe I just got a bad unit but it went almost straight to the trash.

While the charger most certainly has rapid charging capabilities...Potential buyers BE WARNED, that if you have this connected to a dock or position the tip of the cable at ANY type or form of an angle, you will be plagued by connectivity issues down the road. I've gone through three, all suffering form the same fate.

Anyone know if this will work with the Kindle Fire as an alternative to the expensive Kindle rapid charger. I just got in on the Kindle deal and looking for a cheapish charger and case.

Same here. Just ordered one to replace my old Motorola micro USB charger.

I used this charger for an year or so before it tripped my car's fuse. What is even weird is that it doesn't trip my Altima and charges phones in it just fine, but it breaks the fuse of Infiniti.

Infinity blames it on the charger because any other chargers work fine with my car. I tried to put the blame on them because this charger works fine in wife's Altima.

a fake motorola shipped/sold by amazon? i dont think so.

my point is that dont trust the name motorola. it's not that great as people think it is.
