Tried a Kohls in SW burbs of Chicago, and they got hung up on the model numbers: SS-700 vs SS-700L at Lowes. Bummer. Hope to go back and try again with a different person or another Kohls.

Hmm, I haven't heard of anyone I know having problems with their Keurig. I have one at home I use 2-4 times a day, and one at work I used daily, and neither have problems...and I don't clean it out as often as I should.

Either way, great price if you can get it for <$100. Very YMMV, because the cashier should not be doing that. It's a shame that poor training is more important to these companies than lost sales revenue due to ignorance.

Will Lowes accept a competitors coupon from Kohls?

I went to my local Kohls in smithfield and was met my incompetence and lack of help. I took the model off the shelf, brought it to the register and asked for a price match. Clerk said she didnt think they priced matched. I stated that the policy on their website said they did. She got a manager and the manager said that this was a different model because of the ss-700 and lowes model number is ss-700l. Called another person (no idea who) and said the best they could do is 199.99. I said why is it that you think you dont price match? she tried to explain the Kohls pricing structure is different than typical retailers and therefore they dont pricematch. I said Target, Walmart, and basically all other competitors price match.Then proceeded to ask me if I was going to use a CC? I said why does that make a difference if I use CC or cash... She said that if she price matches and then I use my CC I could even decrease the price further. I said I have a gift card and was going to CC and she make a face like "see I knew it". She didnt know her PM policy and argued further with me and offered little help. I told her at 1 point - WHY WOULD I BUY IT HERE FOR 199 when I CAN can go to Lowes for 129.99 and use a 10% off coupon...she had no answer. I walked out aggravated.

I then proceeded to drive 20 minutes to the next Kohls, ask a clerk to find me a SS-700 and proceeded to check out at customer service. Showed the print out from Lowes, gave her my gift card, gave her my 30% coupon and CC...walked out the door at 92.xx with a smile. The people were very nice to help me and no problems at checkout. No issue at all with PM...they knew their OWN policy and gave no problem to help me with my request.

My friend had the same problem with that.

I have mine warrantied with SquareTrade. I use mine daily, paid 143 on a deal last year. My warranty cost me 22 dollar (had a code with ST) for 3 years of coverage. For those who say they routinely buy new ones annually, I would seriously consider a warranty.
