I stand corrected. I thought Samsung/Sony switched over to IPS panels for their large screen TVs a few years ago.

I guess I will wait for Panasonic Plasma deal, its better than LED set I believe?

Why I said IM not responding as 1 minute of Googling proved your statement incorrect, I personally don't post info of my thoughts as I stated earlier, ( most of the time) Misguide the SD community, I just keep quiet if I don't know what Im talking about and let others inform me if I have a question.
I personally love the way the IPS looks, I have 3 TV's and my 55 panny by far is more impressive then the other Vizio/LG. I would bite on this TV if I needed another one this size. Without a second to spare.

I got a 47" VIERA IPS LED. The color is much better than VIZIO E series. The VIZIO has weird particular-color off. Human faces literally change color when you move one seat aside.
Granted VIZIO E series is very budget friendly.

Does amazon no longer do free return shipping on a tv?
And would they still PM? considering you have to login to get the price..

google "tv panel lottery" as well to edumacate yourself.

there will always be tvs made with inferior hardware so they can make them cheaper. its naive to believe every tv is made with a ips panel or even a mva.
