I'll buy the Die Hard collection on Blu-ray when Bruce Willis is too old to act in another movie
Until then, I cannot stand having incomplete sets like that...Oh yea and the reviews and all that... Come on fox, these are some of the best movies of all time and deserve the real remaster treatment, not a cheap upconversion my bluray player can do on it's own... Schizophrenic post with conflicting recommendations...
First, BUYER BEWARE - There's a reason this price has plummeted. Aside from the new extra and bad art, this is the same release as 2007 set. Same old so-so transfers, and furthermore lacks the corrected (Unrated) cut of LIVE FREE - this was the same major flub that enraged fans the last time. At the time the reason given was that the movie was too new and the Unrated cut not yet ready for Blu-Ray production, but it still has not been corrected 5 years later. With another film on the way, this reprehensible set is an easy pass in favor of the inevitable better one coming soon. ... However if you must buy now there's a better deal available. The stand-alone editions ($10 at Best Buy) each have the same $10 Movie Money as the set, effectively making them free if you use the tix. Note the new stand-alone version of LIVE FREE claims to have both cuts, but close inspection reveals that the Unrated version is on DVD only. Last edited by impetus; 02-14-2013 at 08:30 AM.. |

A Good Day To Die Hard is complete crap. If you buy this, do yourself a favor and give the ticket code to your worst enemy.

This is a good deal. Two caveats:
1. The coupon code will be emailed to you "within 48 hours." So if you plan on seeing it opening day, you might not have the coupon in time. 2. Some theaters restrict your ability to use coupons or vouchers on opening day films. Be sure to find out for sure before showing up. |

I'm torn about building a Blu-Ray collection and investing any money. Thinking 5-10 years down the road, pretty much every movie ever made will likely be available as an HD streaming movie as part of a standard monthly service. At that point, will owning any DVDs, let alone Blu-Rays, even make a difference?

Take a look at Amazon Trade-in. Same title, a $5 DVD get $1, a $10 Blue-ray get $1.5 Buy blue-ray is a worse investment.

I was SO pumped for 'Good Day'. I was gonna watch it on Sunday. The reviews are so thoroughly awful though that I'm reconsidering:
