I've hardly had any problems with any rebates over the last 15 years. Couple of companies went out of business before paying me, but that was a million years ago. Oh, and my utility (who will remain nameless because its PG&E) likes to reject perfectly good rebates, and they won't pay no matter what you do to them.

I have a feeling that people don't fill out the forms correctly or put the wrong materials in the submission, and thats the cause of most rebate failures.

In any case, I checked all 200-something newegg reviews and only one of them said he was still waiting on the rebate 3 months later, while one other said he'd finally gotten it after 3 months. Most of the rebates I've done this past year came pretty fast, maybe people are getting used to 4-6 weeks and those 3 month ones seem like they aren't coming.

I've also noticed recently rebates have come a LOT quicker than they used to. I only had to wait 2-3 weeks for rebates about a month ago. (That was without selecting the no wait option)

Just FYI

I got this same usb key with the same rebate about two months ago. Rebate came in and the usb key is super fast. As mentioned, the only down-side is that it has a cap that can get lost easily. However, the cap does snap onto the back of the key. It's worth noting that the key is very slim which is something to consider when plugged into tight spaces on the sides of laptops.

I've been highly satisfied with mine and would consider getting another one as a gift.

Max write speed is 25mb/sec.. Not so good if you'll be writing a lot of files often..
Read speed is fast though
