I know! I just don't want to deal with tiger directs rebate. I'm going nuts. I either want a 55-60 passive 3d or a killer plasma 60. The big thing is i want it through amazon. I may just give in to this one though

Oh damn they do have the lg 4600 3d I've been eyeing for $799. What should I do?

The reviews on the 5500 are great from amazon. I have no idea why I'm hesitating. Is tiger direct really as bad to deal with as I've read?

They aren't that bad. I got my order all the time. My rebates (recent ones) all have come back.

just goes to tell you how long it takes for a retailer to get past their past reputation...no the Tigerdirect of today seems to be a vastly different company. All orders ship on time and all rebates arrive well ahead of time (subject to your following terms and conditions of course) Phone based Customer Service leaves a lot to be desired as wait times are very long and email responses take at least 5 days. But rebates arrive well on time and as promised. If you are holding off based on that alone, don't

I just picked up the Panasonic TC-p55UT50 open box from Bestbuy for $670 out the door, if I would have not picked that one I probably would have jumped on this one.

Thanks! This price is the best I've seen for this set. It's got good attention here for $50-$100 more. Hell with it, I'm in.

You can try price-match with Amazon, I know they can't do the Rebate part, but ultimately it's up to the rep. and you might get lucky. Nothing to loose in trying.Wink

I am sure it'll get there, but by that time you wouldn't want anything but 2013 models.

I got this TV back in Dec from Sears, and have been happy with it. The deal was a little more complicated, but after the price protection guarantee ( price match to Fry's), Shop Discover 17% rebate, getting $108.00 in Sears shop your way rewards, the net price worked out to be $426.
