I am sure it'll get there, but by that time you wouldn't want anything but 2013 models.
I don't want a fancy TV, to me it doesn't make sense to purchase a "Smart TV". I would rather buy a standard one and add other components that are cheaper and easier to upgrade down the road.

I just got my 60 Samsung plasma from TigerDirect (second order, first one was a plu ray player) referenced in this thread:

All in all, I am very happy with TD so far. After my online order about 2 hours, TD credit card department called me to verify, then the status changed to "shipped" on the same day.
I (ca resident) got the tv in one week.

AIT LOGISTICS (shipping company) was fantastic, the guy delivered my TV went above and beyond what was required.

You can try price-match with Amazon, I know they can't do the Rebate part, but ultimately it's up to the rep. and you might get lucky. Nothing to loose in trying.Wink
I ended up biting, it's the tv I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. They already called to confirm my payment and shipping info. I'm really impressed with the level of verification they use. In an age where anyone can use your card anywhere without even being questioned it was good to see that. Ended up getting a few percent cash back as well. I just used a 35% off squaretrade to get a five year warranty on the cheap. That should cover it well enough..

Solid deal op, thanks and repped!

forget getting rebates from Tigerdirect. they are the worst. when I called them they said they a rebate protection program and advised to file e claim over there. i did it but still till today nothing came. I will never ever buy from TD if there is a mail in rebate.

Roughly the same as the 60pa6500 which I have, nice tvs. Note, if you were looking for the panasonic u50, it does not have a swivel stand like this 5500.

Shoulda been FP by now. Sometimes you get the crowd that wants smart features, that way when you don't get firmware updates you have to replace an entire tv instead of a $100 blu ray player. Who named them smart tvs again? Also, tigerdirect is great with getting rebates back to you. I've done over a dozen and have gotten them all.

Great deal. In for one and already filled out info for rebate... pretty simple. Just hope the shipping goes alright, I've heard stories about these guys. Rep'd and all that good stuff.

Order was cancelled and cannot get a customer service rep on the phone or in live chat online. Began reading reviews and this sounds like an awful company to order from. Looking to see if the deal and MIR can be found elsewhere. Great deal though, op... just not excited about what's happened during the process of them trying to get me to pay. If it's this difficult to place the order, how difficult will it be to receive the order? Any else have experience with TD?

GM was not king in the 80's?

60 and 70's maybe

on another note...while this is a good price...LG is not the performance leader in television technology

They are the value brand...ie Chevrolet of TV's
