40% off Computer Desks starting @ $25 AC Staples B&M

I believe you should update the deal to YMMV.

The 40% off is already reflected online, so the store price of each item will be the regular price on which you will apply the coupon to bring it back to the discounted price online.

What you are stating is double dipping and may require a Manager intervention.

Two ways to do it:
1. Reserve online for store pickup and if the online price rings up when they bill - apply the coupon again in store
2. PM to online while in store and then apply coupon - this would be harder to do.

The coupon was a no-go using store reservation and coming in to apply. Manager fought me on it, I took my business elsewhere.

Worked for me! I got the Whalen® Axia Computer Desk by reserving it online at its discounted price, then had the rep take off another 40% with the coupon. I also had $40 in rewards to use, so the final price for me was about $26.

No, he was interfering in a transaction that would have otherwise went smoothly. The reservation confirmation printout said $41.99 flat, no discounts or anything else. The coupon should have been applied to that amount. The manager would not allow the price printed on the reservation plus the coupon. With the gas and time I wasted going to the store to pick up the desk, the savings I would have gotten on the desk were already wasted, so I left.

You can still use the expired coupon today in-store. Don't carry the coupon print out, just give them the code "80348" at checkout. This should bring the L-shaped desk down to $36

Since it is a 5-digit generic coupon, it should work in-store for 2 days past expiry without manager override.
