best 60 inch tv under $2000
Looking for a new 60 inch plasma or led (probably pannasonic or samsung) for under $2000. This will replace my 50 inch panny plasma on the wall in living. Room has average light with 2 double hung windows 5 feet to the left of the tv. Ready to buy but I want this to be THE set. THanks

You're going through the same problem I did: timing.
The Samsung UN60ES7100 is, IMO, the best LED 60 inch tv out there right now. This is discontinued now and will be replaced with the new years model likely next month. If you had bought it last month, you could have google shopped it for around $1600-$1700 or bought from Best Buy and Amazon for $1800, but now most sites have it back to near full retail of $2500, cheapest legit place being tigerdirect.com at $2250. You can try to google shop it to find it cheaper at other sites, but I would recommend against that (I tried buysquad and it was re-certified tv's. Not what I wanted. I tried bestbuypcs and their customer service is atrocious, I ended up cancelling the order after they incorrectly told me I would receive my tv the next day...only to call me the next day to tell me I wasnt and they werent willing to find a reasonable solution). Best bet: It's president's day weekend and many stores are gonna try to start clearing out their inventory so keep looking all weekend for this model. FYI, I ended up breaking and just buying it off Amazon with a tigerdirect price match for $2350 (they have to add in cost of shipping). Hopefully you find a better price. |

also check local sears stores this time of year and see if they have any last year models on clearance...
used to buy em all the time and flip em when i worked there if they werent moving. for LED tv's tho, i would stay with samsung and even the quattron sharp tv's PS I prefer plasma TV's myself, I you were to go that route, i would stay with panasonic only and get the ST or VT series. they IMO have the BEST pictures period. man, I'm itching for one right now myself...we have money but looking for a 65" plasma at least. With a budget around $1500 or so, that's tough. It has to be a smart TV also.
Looking at the 70" sharp and Vizio for $1600 at BB and wally world right now, also. Can't decide if I keep trying to find a deal on a ST 65 panny. |

Amazon.com: $2000 for the UN60ES7100, comes with a free samsung 7" galaxy 2 tablet I'm in the process of exchanging the one I got for this. TOTALLY WORTH IT |
