With any electronic device YMMV but I think the overall consensus is the phone has good build quality. |

Great phone for those over 60 or so. I played a little more and got a powerhouse (nexus 4), but my father (68) hated me changing his wp7 phone for an android.
Nokia WP7>HTC WP7 I've had a titan and a titan 2... HTC sucks at WP, even more than the platform itself |

My friends works for Nokia and few months back I bought this phone for my wife for $150 unlocked.
Honestly speaking apart from solid built qulaity, nothing is worth in this phone. OS, windows 7 Mango, is pretty much dud. Their app store is ghost town, even you don't get browsers like chrome or firefox. People are saying all the important apps which you need are there and all, which is total BS. They don't even have Google voice? WiFi connection is weak, my two years old HTC phone shows more WiFi connections SSID than Nokia and when you get connected the signal is weak. I compare the signal strength with my Samsung SIII, HTC and this one. Maps, is joke, only good thing you can use offline mapping only if it wont freeze frequently, I guess which you can do with Google maps as well. its claim as 4G but I hardly get 4G on this, HTC is better on same spot showing 4G signal and this phone mostly shows 3G. For $220 its not worth, IMOH |

How is this FP at this price? That said MANY basic Iowa and android users would be happier with this and a no contract prepay under $40 monthly plan. I am stunned by the high % of people I work with that hardly use their GS3 and iPhone 5 for more than txt/email/cameras. They hardly use data or even GPS navigation but dump $100 plus a month. They got nice phone to hide the fact they are lost with tech. Nexus 4 is better value but even win phone 7.8 is easy to use. Lumia 900 is tough heavy but and not ideal battery life but ideal for first smartphone....don't need apps much.
I got one from secondipity for $160 tough phone |

Windows 8 , whether you like it or not, is going to wind up on the majority of peoples desktops over the next year. Windows tablets will take off, because a non-proprietary business model of a popular operating system will drive it, again leading to acceptance of the Windows 8 interface. The windows phone, which is extremely nice, most people who comment how bad they are never used one, will be embraced more and more as not only the interface becomes commonplace but the integration between platforms becomes tighter and tighter. Nexus 4? I have nothing against Android, I like it alot. I own an Android phone but using a phone, like the Nexus 4, which gets hairline cracks from just placing it on a table during normal use over the course of a few months, compounded by the larger cracks if you dare drop it from more than 2 feet, even on carpet... seems a bit silly to me... Keep telling everyone it's dead... funnier when it turns out you are wrong. |

Still, it's a dead-end platform. I couldn't in good faith recommend that anyone spend money on something that isn't can't be upgraded to the current platform. Would anyone recommend buying a Android device that couldn't be upgraded any further than Gingerbread? |
