I have this one... very happy with it. The OS is lean, so the single core CPU doesn't matter, everything moves fast. With the 7.8 update, the UI is even better than before.
However, if you want the latest hot apps, look for an Android or iPhone unit instead. While there are plenty of good WP7 apps, all the new fun stuff like Snapchat, Instagram and others are missing, and it's doubtful they'll ever turn up (maybe on WP8). But if you mostly use it for GPS, media player, web browsing etc (basically anything that doesn't require new 3rd party apps), it's a great phone. |

Buyers of this phone be sure to check out the Nokia apps. Free offline GPS and a radio with a offline mode are worth checking out. There are also 2 games that I'm aware of are free to download. Super Monkey Ball 2 and Sonic CD, I think they are under the Nokia label and lack the xbox achievement. The City Lens app is also awesome to use, I've been looking to see if there is a Android equivalent version of that program.

I don't know why are some people are complaining about the lack of apps. I mean to the normal user most of the stuff that you need Browser-Youtube-Email are already there: build in IE or use UC browser, build in Email... and Metrotube which is worth the cost to able to download and watch HD youtube.
I would only complain about the lack of variety and gaming apps. ( NO OFFICIAL SLICKDEAL APP ;P ) No swype too... but the WP keyboard is really smooth and nice. Don't forget you get the Nokia Drive, Transit, Maps, and Creative Studio with this and Window 7.8 with for the Window 8 looks. http://www.wpcentral.com/att-lumi...date-nokia It is still a good backup phone compared to SG3 and such high end phones in terms of software and build quality. If this were maybe $150 I might have pull the trigger. An alternative will be the LG L9 from Tmobile or Bestbuy but that a whole other issues there too. EDIT: If this work on T-Mobile 4G too

But being an user of the WP7 platform for two years, I really have nothing bad to say about it. It's stable, quick, and easily lasts me through the day with generous use(on a 1500mAh battery). There are a few apps I wish were available for the OS; fortunately, some developers help fill in the gap by releasing unofficial versions, compatible with the service you seek. Personally, I look forward to jumping on the WP8 bandwagon whenever a good phone becomes available on Sprint. Im thinking an LG L9 + a 16/32gb micro SD would be a better deal than this at the same price range if unlocking right away isnt a problem?
