If you don't have an Android device (I don't), maybe Bluestacks (Windows/Mac program that runs Android and Android apps) will work?
I thought about that, but am not at home and cannot test it at the moment. If someone can get it to work, please report back!
I've been using BlueStacks on and off since their beta-1 version nearly a year ago. It definitely served some of my purposes before I got an Android phone - finally! - a week ago. Now I can post more Android-related deals because I can significantly test them (I don't like posting deals without making sure they work first).
Thanks to those who are contributing to the list I started in the Wiki ("If there are free worthwhile apps, please post them here!"). I added Smart Office 2, which is usually a $9.99 app, was $0.99 yesterday and saw dozens of buyers, and is now completely free.
I could be wrong, but in my testing before posting this thread, I purchased numerous apps without installing them and didn't get the credit. Within a minute of installing the first one, I received the $1 mp3 credit.
I can verify that you do NOT need to install the app on your phone for the $1 mp3 credit, as I just made a free "purchase" and checked my credit and it's there
I DO think you need a "valid phone" though, as my phone is linked to my amazon account.
