Novaform memory foam mattress on Sale at Costco.com

$499 is for the Q 12" in store, not 14".

I agree that there are other good mattresses out there, but i prefer costco because of their awesome return policy and customer service ... no hassle no questions asked ... even if you want to return mattress after 2-3 year (in case it sags or something)...

How feasible is it to return an item you purchased from a third party seller on Amazon after 2-3 years ?

Does the gel version stay cooler? I have a foam topper and one complaint is that it is a bit warm.

Agreed, you can't beat Costco return policy... I don't think you can return after 2-3 years though, they changed the return policy a while ago.

I can only speak on the topper (and apologies if this gets the thread slightly off-topic), but yes, the blue foam version is indeed cooler than a 10 year old foam version we just relegated to a guest bedroom).

I will say that Sleep Innovations, the OEM that makes these things has *excellent* customer service. I was on the fence a few days ago about whether or not to buy the blue foam version of their topper, or the regular old-skool version and an email via their website was answered in just a few hours by a very nice lady, Katrinka, who answered my questions quickly, and engaged me with several back and forth emails with 15 minute replies. That's rare these days, and that, together with our good experience with their older version of the foam topper and Costco's excellent return policy made it a no-brainer.

Our new blue Novaform foam topper gave us the best night's sleep last night in years, and I'm looking forward to hitting the sack shortly. I'm sure the bed version of it is just as comfortable. It's noticeably cooler than the old version, and even this time of the year when it's a bit cooler (even in AZ), I can clearly tell that the gel version is softer when I first get in bed whereas the old one took some body warmth before you started sinking in. If you've ever owned a memory foam topper or matress I'm sure you know what I'm talking about..the old one was like laying on a board for about 2 or 3 minutes!

Can anyone else confirm that these are for sale in their stores? I know a few posts before this, someone talks about it...but would love more confirmation on this. Also are they, indeed, identical to what's on their website...and for everyone were they less expensive in-store?

We need a new bed b/c our $$$ stearns & foster has been killing our backs for years. It's time to get a new bed! I thought I would NEVER purchase a foam mattress...mostly b/c of the comments on no-air circulation & the heat problem...but it seems this has great reviews. And YES!! agree with everyone who mentions Costco's amazing return policy.

ETA: answering my own post - as I just called the Hackensack, NJ store. I gave her the item # & she said they do not carry it in store. She did say they carry the Novaform but only in Twin size. Seems that unique to this location...as others have posted seeing/purchasing all sizes in-store.

Costco offers the gel memory foam mattress 14" in store for $500 and online the gel memory foam 12" for $550. I wish they have the full size cause it's a better deal in store.

I can confirm that the 14" King Novaform gel mattress is $100 cheaper in store. Online it is 799 and in store it is 699. The store near me will get the queen one on 22nd, but the store rep told me it's priced at 499 (100 cheaper than online).

Novaform and sleep innovations are the same brand. Read up on it at sleeplikethedead.com. Sleep innovations mattresses can be had for cheaper than this on amazon.

On sunday I purchased the 14" Gel Memory Foam at my local Costco for $499. So far loving it, does take getting used to compared to the POS innerspring I replaced it with and I think it would probably be better on a slatted platform rather than the boxspring I'm using. It's amazing to watch it expand once it's released from it's vacuum sealed cocoon!

Wish I could have chimed in a little earlier. 3 years ago I bought a non-gel Novaform memory foam queen from Costco. It was very firm, but it held up very nicely. However, my crappy apartment in Oakland had a mold issue and my mattress was ruined---mold everywhere on the underside of it. I called up Costco, asked them after 2 years of use, if they would exchange it. They refunded my $700 back to me. Again, Costco ALWAYS impresses me.

I went to get another Novaform and they didn't have my $700 old bed, but they had one of these new gel beds. I got it for around $400 last year.

The gel version are MUCH softer. I actually like sleeping on the gel mattress more. However, I will say that the build quality of the gel ones are inferior. Cheaper mattress cover material, and I doubt it will hold up as long.

I love Costco, and I like Novaform. Everyone who sleeps on my bed raves about it. These are awesome mattresses but I anticipate some minor sagging to happen within a few years.

Not good quality. I returned it. Very soft on the edges.

I bought the 4" Nova topper and decided to return it. Too stiff for my taste.

I bought this novaform in like 2009 or 2008. I paid like $600 around then for the full size. Everything said in the previous reviews is accurate. I dont know about the newer ones but it does sag slightly in the middle where you lay the most. No big issue though. You cant really flip it but I did rotate it 180 degrees once. Did wonders for my back problems.

The bed is really hard at first and I had to get used to it, but it actually softens up over time and the longer you lay on it. The only real complaint is in the summer time when its hot as hell in CA I cannot sleep with covers on at all. The bed truly retains heat. This is wonderful in cold climates though.
