This is a great deal, esp with Prime members. Not all brand name BD players have Amazon VOD. Also, this thing is very speedy. Only drawback is that it is wide, my previous Sony BD is 2/3 the size of this unit

Satisfied customer, so I'm getting another one.

Sony removed Amazon VOD from my Dash at last update. What are the chances they will remove access here too?

This should be a front page deal.

Been waiting for a Blu-Ray player with built in Wifi (none of that adapter crap) that streams Netflix + amazon.

Time machine rental kills the deal.

I assume since this is a Sony player that it would be on the lookout for Cinavia issues?

My $17 refurbed magnavox blu-ray player just died on me after only seeing a handful of blu-rays. I guess I'll give refurb one more try. Thanks!

my brand NEW LG died after 13 months ... we'll give this a try ... didn't think I'd be giving Sony another try, since their DVD player (that I tried) were CRAP!

How does this compare to Amazon deal for the Sony BDP-S590? Is there a big difference?

I think the S590 just really ads 3D. 3D is going away pretty quickly at this point.

I feel like this is a hot deal. Front page?
If this was posted by one of the "popular" crowd it would have been front page yesterday already.
-tru story

... now it's not even on the Hot Deals side bar anymore ... thank goodness it was there or I wouldn't have seen it. BR with Netflix and Pandora at this price ... doesn't happen as often as some of the other retarded repeat FP deals we see everyday.
-also tru

I've have mixed luck with Newegg refurbs. I was shocked to see my refurb Kinect sensor with almost no packaging to hold the unit in place. Fortunately it worked.

The reviews suggest that the packaging for this unit was horrible. Just cautioning folks jumping in...
