I also went ahead and pulled the trigger on this latest price from NewEgg.

I was really hoping to match my $21-$22ish Staples deal of last year, but prices are hanging pretty tough this year and my wife is "gently encouraging me" to get the damn thing done....

Amazon has if for $40.53, and is a download (no shipping).

The NewEgg deal includes free standard shipping (a week), or free two-day if you want to join Shoprunner.

You only get one state. If you want more you have to pay for each additional. And, if memory serves, last year there was a very steep fee for each additional (I'm thinking $39 each ). They do make it very easy to add each additional state with built-in links in the program -- just plug in your credit card number.

There is/was a way around this, but since it would be highly illegal theft of services and my taxes are too important to mess around with, I would never attempt it. Google is your friend if you are more a pirate than I.

As for good price, it's not a bad price, especially since this is the "box set" and not a download -- but I was really hoping for under $30.

Just a heads-up, I got my shipped notice and tracking number a bit ago on this deal.

Being shipped from California via the NewEgg egg-saver shipping option DHL GlobalMail. DHL gets the package within some distance to your local post office (who knows how close) and then hands it off to the US Postal Service.

Not a great fan of UPS's similar service (still waiting for a T-Mobile SIM card that was shipped two weeks ago via UPS Mail Inovations), never had experience with DHL's service.
