Good luck finding these, called a few stores and they're out of them since they have been on clearance awhile.

That is NOT what you said! You said he was being transfered because he was in danger... You said danger, I said grave danger? You said "is there any other kind?" Wait, I digress. You said it was a SD because there wasnt any other prices cheaper. I can have the court transcripts read back.... Last edited by JAXXBOSS; 02-15-2013 at 06:35 AM.. I'm not trying to be defensive, nor am I crying out for TUs. I'm simply trying to understand why SDers would TD a posted deal without explaining their reasoning. If we were in a Staples store and both of us were looking at these headphones and saw the prices discounted 70%, and then suddenly I said, "Thumbs Down!" and walked away, wouldn't you be curious as to why? At least to inform yourself before deciding whether or not to buy them if you were at all interested? That's why I'm asking for explanations. Anyways, I'm over it now. Valentine's Day sentiment has worn off. Back to the daily grind. |

My question is towards people who come into threads for items they have no interest in, just to thread crap. Like people who go into fast food deals to say its bad for you, or people who go into work out posts to talk about how you don't need it Last edited by gaughan333; 02-15-2013 at 06:42 AM.. |

But, back to the rebuttal, counselor. A slick deal to me is one that meets the Slickdeals.net classification of a "slick deal" with an emphasis on the lowest price available at the time of posting. I believe the item I've posted does that. Does yours? |

This point however is flawed because the sales logic is completely different. It would be the same situation if your used TP was available for sale at multiple outlets at an MSRP of say, $100. Then you came in and said, "Hey guys, have I got a deal for you! I'm selling that same TP that would cost you $100 at retailers A, B, and C, for the low price of $30!! Come and get it!" Is a "slickdeal" on something the general consensus isn't interested in, still a "slickdeal"? Wait, let me rephrase that before you/anyone answers that. If a tree falls in the woods, but no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound" OP, people will TD deals if it's for products they don't like or believe in, regardless of whether or not it is actually a slick deal. Well, you quoted me, so I answered you. Also, Yes, folks have an interest in the item and come here.....Whats your point? They come here because they have an interest , read the post and decide its not SD and give it a TD. You apparently dont like the reasons WHY they give a TD, but thats how it goes. Anyone has the right to enter a thread and give it a TD ...just because. Its an ok thing to do.. If I see a thread that I KNOW Im not gonna be buying but its looks intereting then Ill enter it. Sometimes these are funny and sometimes they are kinda lame and sometimes it give me an idea.... You just sem to be hating on the haters, which kinda makes you a hypocrite& a hater which means the haters have one strike against them and you have 2....... Just sayn yo. |

I am going only be the guidelines that the OP said and that was that a SD is when an item has the lowest price anywhere then it is a SD. Only using that alalogy I then made my TP post to show how asinine it was. Again, just because an item has the lowest price anywhere does not always mean it sa SD.. and yes, I know that a SD is subjective, but some are not, just like I dont need to eat a dead skunks hind quartres while sitting in a pile of maggot infested rotting human corpses to know that i wouldnt enjoy the meal nor would (hardly)anyone else. |

If you answered no to all of these questions, you should realize that thumbs up or down on some web forum for deals really aren't all that serious in the overall scheme of things. You really shouldn't get so emotionally invested in how people feel about your deal. Whether the thumbs up or down rain in on something you post, tomorrow the sun will still rise, the sun will still set, and Lance Armstrong will still be an a-hole. Life will move on, I promise. |
