MyLinkables - $10 back on $100 @ Costco + other offers

I wish there was a scam option for TD.

Anyone else heard of or have experience with this site?

It is legit. I have linked offers and got credit back to my card.

I am gonna buy a $100 costco cash card,which means 10% off costco purchase. Not too bad.

Like I mentioned, I've used this site for 8+ months now with no problems whatsoever, and so have several other people I know. If you're not willing to share your online banking info, then move on. If you are willing, it's very easy money back in your pocket on things I'd already be purchasing.

I don't even trust PayPal... But I use it anyway.

I don't even use debit cards unless I absolutely have to. You have virtually no protection with those things.

You're overstating it a bit, but the sentiment is right, you get less protections. Using Paypal, on the other hand, is just plain stupid. Try reading the T&Cs one night if you want to frighten the bejesus out of yourself.

"Your money" is not a concept PayPal understands.

FYI, it looks like the "safeway" offer is region specific. Central Ohio has Giant Eagle, and that is offered instead of Safeway.

why on earth would I give my bank accounts login?
does it void the unauthorized spending protection?
is it more secure than the bank? do they encrypt all backups? what are their internal login/password policies? do they run background check on all employees?

Is the list posted above the only offers available right now? When I started to sign up, the site wants me to enter my banking info before I get to see what offers are available = fail!

I was considering signing up and using a new account at my credit union that I open specifically for the purpose of using MyLinkables and nothing else. My credit union is very easy to work with and allows me to transfer money from one account to another with just a phone call. This way, I could transfer just enough money from my primary account to MyLinkables to take advantage of their current offers. (I have one account at my credit union that I use only for payments to Hughesnet satellite for my internet. I hate the company and don't trust them to take only what I owe. Their billing info is frequently wrong so I only deposit the exact amount to pay my current bill).

I just do not feel comfortable giving anyone access to my bank accounts even if they say my information is encrypted. All it would take is one unethical employee to harvest data, wait a few months, and then take what they wanted.

Many major financial institutions and large corporations who spend millions trying to make their data secure have been hacked. I'm not sure the risk would be worth the reward especially since I don't know what the offers are available now and will be in the future.

This is my first post. I thought it would be helpful if I responded to a few of the questions that have been raised.

Currently, offers can be viewed after creating an account by providing your email address and password, and are visible before you register a card. Within a couple of months, we will have re-worked our home page, to display offers to consumers before registration.

Also, we've partnered with MasterCard. When registering a MasterCard, only your card number and card expiration date are required. We're in the process of integrating with other major card networks as well, but until then, credentials are required (for non-MasterCards) in order for us to establish a secure connection with your bank for ongoing read-only access, and for the ability to credit your card/account with your savings. This connection is sustained via a PCI-compliant secure token.
